Our approach

HELM aims to make this website usable with keyboard navigation, visible focus states, readable contrast, responsive layouts and semantic controls wherever practical.

Motion

Non-essential animation is reduced or stopped when your device requests reduced motion. Decorative hero media is muted. On small screens, key proof and portfolio areas are deliberately calmer and do not rely on automatic horizontal movement.

Media

Decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technology where appropriate. Selected work opens in a player with controls after you choose a film. Meaningful images carry alternative text where the image communicates content.

Keyboard and forms

Primary navigation, project cards, accordions and the project enquiry form are designed to be operable by keyboard. Form feedback is announced through live status text.

Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process and some motion-rich portfolio presentation may still present barriers for some visitors. If you encounter a problem, email Moustafa@directedbyhelm.com with the page and issue and we will review it.
